Peer Support
Peer support is a form of mutual assistance where individuals with shared experiences provide emotional, social, and practical support to one another. It is often used in various contexts, such as mental health, addiction recovery, chronic illness management, or workplace well-being.

Therapy
We offer multiple types of therapy to help you on your journey. Some of the types of therapy we offer are; Talk Talk therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Trauma, Grief, Couples, Family, Art, and music therapy.

Clinical Groups
Clinical Groups are structured therapeutic settings where individuals with similar challenges, such as mental health conditions or substance use disorders, come together under the guidance of trained clinicians. These groups focus on addressing specific issues through evidence-based interventions, skill-building, and mutual support. Clinical groups differ from informal support groups in that they are led by licensed professionals and follow a structured approach. Harm Reduction Supplies
Purple Mountain Recovery believes there are multiple pathways to recovery. As part of this belief, we offer free harm reduction supplies such as Narcan, Fentanyl Test Kits, and Xylazine test kits free to any one that needs them.
Computer Lab
We offer a computer lab for anyone to use to aid in job hunting, resume building, and computer building skills.
Advocacy
We aim to erase the stigma on SUD, Mental Health, Harm Reduction, LGBTQIA2S+, and justice involved communities. We provide advocacy services to help reduce the stigmas surrounding our community.
BA Monitoring
We offfer BA Monitoring services for all our sober living clients. This consists of two random BA each day.
Peer Support Academy
Purple Mountain Peer Academy is a COPA approved training. Please visit the Academy page for class information and details. Limited scholarships may be available.
Peer Groups
Peer support groups are structured or informal gatherings where individuals with shared experiences come together to provide mutual support, share resources, and foster understanding. These groups can be a powerful way to address emotional, social, and practical challenges in a safe and supportive environment.
Characteristics of Peer Support Groups:

Shared Experience: Members have a common thread, such as mental health challenges, addiction recovery, chronic illness, grief, parenting, or specific professional roles.

Sober Living
We offer CARR Certified Sober living throughout Colorado. We offer LGBTQIA2S+ Sober Living, Men's Sober Living, and Women's Sober Living. Our sober Living program vary in levels from 2 to 4. Please visit our sober living page to find out what level is appropriate for your needs.
Gender-Affirming Care
Gender-affirming care for individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) and mental health conditions is a holistic, person-centered approach that recognizes and respects the unique needs of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse individuals. It focuses on creating an inclusive, supportive, and affirming environment that validates a person’s gender identity while addressing their recovery and mental health goals.
This type of care integrates evidence-based treatment for SUD and mental health conditions with practices that affirm gender identity, ensuring that individuals feel safe, respected, and understood. By addressing the intersection of gender dysphoria, stigma, and minority stress, gender-affirming care helps individuals achieve greater well-being and a higher quality of life.

HIV & STI Testing
Purple Mountain Recovery offers free at home HIV test kits and confidential STI testing at no cost.
Sober Events
Purple Mountain Recovery offers various sober events throughout the year. Please visit our Events page for latest events. We also offer a weekly LGBTQIA2S+ sober night.
DHS Contracted Services
We are contracted with El Paso DHS to provide many services to their clients. Please speak with your Case Manager at DHS to see if we are the right fit for you.
BHA/Medicaid Sign up Assistance
Purple Mountain Recovery is an authorized agency by the BHA to assist you in getting signed up with BHA/MEDICAID. Please call to schedule your appointment should you need assistance in signing up.
Clothing Closet
Purple Mountain Recovery's Colorado Springs location has a vast clothing closet for adults and children, please stop by during business hours to obtain clothing or drop off donations.
